Account Executive

Be part of the TV/Video media industry as an Account Executive for two of the leading brands in the space – Cynopsis and Cablefax. These two vibrant properties are seeking a passionate Account Executive to work in the TV and cable sector. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of Strategic Sales and be responsible for digital media and event sponsorships. The Account Executive, Cynopsis & Cablefax serves as a crucial part of the sales team and will be responsible for event sponsorship, digital solutions, webinars, group subscriptions, lead-generation, brand awareness campaigns, custom content and research. Customers are mainly solutions providers for the cable, broadband, video and television industries. The Account Executive will balance heavy prospecting in the lower middle-market and SMB segments, relationship management, competitive analysis and in-person meetings to understand market needs, sales opportunities and growth tracks.

Key responsibilities for the Account Executive include:

  • Achieve revenue goals including event sponsorships, advertising packages and group subscriptions.
  • Network and connect with industry contacts (through sales calls or visits, prospecting, etc.) to establish client relationships
  • Attend and represent the company at industry events.
  • Identify and cultivate new relationships within the industry; building sales leads.
  • Research client/organization/executive information before sales meetings (also for existing clients and accounts) to be able to help establish the unique value that our packages will provide.
  • Collect and monitor insights from clients to provide feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with other internal sales reps to meet the needs of all clients (larger packages, cross-brand opportunities).

15%-20% travel may be required for in-person sales visits in addition to company conferences and awards ceremonies.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other sales-related duties as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings and industry events.
  • Develop revenue generating ideas in collaboration with manager.
  • Generate sales lists for new leads.
  • Identify and prioritize prospective sponsors and navigate internal contacts for best sales approach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience selling event partnerships and digital advertising, preferably in the B2B sector; contacts in industry are a plus.
  • Experience with consultatively selling integrated packages.
  • Strong prospecting skills.
  • Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office suite experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
