Job Summary
The Event Sales Director will drive revenue growth exclusively through the sale of event-related solutions, including conference exhibits and sponsorship packages. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with industry suppliers and partners to secure their participation in our flagship events. You will leverage your consultative sales approach to connect our clients with high-impact marketing opportunities during our conferences and related events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Sales & Revenue Growth
• Meet and exceed sales targets by selling conference exhibit spaces and event sponsorship packages.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan specifically tailored to identify new event-based business opportunities and grow existing partnerships.
• Build and maintain a robust event sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and outreach.
• Consult with clients to understand their event marketing objectives and develop tailored sponsorship and exhibit solutions.
• Leverage market insights to position our event offerings as essential platforms for engaging perioperative decision-makers.
Client Relationship Management
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with industry suppliers and partners, becoming their trusted advisor for event participation.
• Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with key decision-makers to present tailored event solutions.
• Represent OR Manager at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, reinforcing our brand presence.
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop compelling proposals and presentations that align event sponsorship and exhibit opportunities with client goals.
• Track and analyze event sales performance to optimize strategies and enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, editorial, and events) to create and deliver high-value event solutions.
• Provide feedback to leadership on client needs, industry trends, and potential new event revenue opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally with a focus on events, media, or healthcare marketing.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, specifically in event or sponsorship sales.
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a passion for events.
• Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to manage pipelines and track performance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 15% for conferences, client meetings, and industry events).
